WELCOME

Welcome to ABA Architects

Anthony Brabazon graduated from University College Dublin in 1985 and formed the company (previously known as Anthony Brabazon Associates) in 1993 having previously worked in 2 Dublin practices.  Attracted to architecture after visited the Munich Olympic Stadium in the late 1970’s he has remained enthusiastic about the need to create special solutions to ordinary design problems. “Lateral thinking is not an added extra to architectural design but its very core.”  The completed works, mostly residential and commercial work, of ABA Architects bear testimony to this view. Anthony served as Honorary Secretary in the RIAI in the 1990's and sat for 4 years on the Professional Conduct Committee. In 2005 Anthony gained the accreditation "Architect Accredited in Conservation at Grade III" and has since worked on the restoration of numerous protected structures.  In recent years he founded the RIAI Dublin Forum to foster collegiality and networking among small practices. In 2009 he created Help My House, a nationwide troubleshooting consultancy service in order to help clients avoid the pitfalls of bad or expensive advice on simple house matters.
